The Fear Mindset
Fear is debilitating at best and fatal at worst. It shuts off key parts of our brains, triggers cascading negative emotions, and quite simply, it takes us right out of the game through shut down, and sometimes even paralysis. Triggering the highly stress-inducing trio of reactions, fight, flight, or freeze, fear doesn't exactly offer us a single option to thrive or to be our best. It only has survival in mind, and survival is exhausting, depleting, and unsustainable. The antidote to fear is love, and yet, the path between the two can be obscured and thorny at best. The intermediaries that help us along this path are curiosity and inquiry coming in like floodlights to illuminate all those tricky dark corners where we hide our deepest and most unaddressed fears.
There is an antidote to the fear mindset and it even applies to global crisis and chaos.
